• COGENT Brake Fluid DOT 3 is highly suitable for use in standard automotive applications where high-performance disc, drum, and anti-skid braking systems (ABS) are deployed in passenger cars or fleets requiring specialized dot 3 brake fluid performance. They can be safely utilized with the following manufacturer recommendations:
• Always use the concentrated form of car brake fluid, drawn directly from a previously unopened or tightly sealed airtight container.
• Always seal the product container immediately after use, as glycol-ether hydraulic fluids absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere quite rapidly, which reduces the overall fluid service life significantly.
• Never reuse any used or drained brake fluid under any circumstances.
• Take extra caution during top-ups (such as when your dashboard indicates brake fluid low symptoms) as brake fluid can severely affect vehicle paintwork; always remove accidental spills immediately without rubbing the surface.
• To maintain maximum safety and prevent excessive wear on your brake pads, brake fluid should be completely flushed and changed from the vehicle every two years or 40,000 Km (24,000 Miles).
